It was 1967. Lyndon B. Johnson was in the White House. The very 1st Super Bowl was played in Los Angeles.

In Winnfield, Louisiana, Mr. W. E. Gordon decided to retire from the oil field as a Tool Pusher and Drilling Consultant and start a construction company of his own. He formed W. E. Gordon Blacktopping Service.

Mr. Gordon began forming driveways with tar and gravel. He would spray the tar and spread the gravel out of a dump truck. Later, with his two sons and son-in-law, they would take on larger projects, first paving driveways and parking lots with hot-mix asphalt.

Today, we are still a family-owned and operated business. In 1991, following the passing of Mr. W. E. Gordon, son Jimmy D. Gordon became president and initiated Gordon Blacktopping Service, LLC. Three generations thus far, have contributed their skills and efforts. As a result, Gordon Blacktopping Service, LLC has achieved excellent recognition in the asphalt construction industry.

We have come a long way since 1967, having completed thousands of diverse projects. Through the years, we have always offered our customers the highest quality and the most modern technology available in the industry.
